Unless it is ultra clear water I don't think it matters to a crappie. Have caught them on every color ever made.
How does the color of your fishing line affect the bite? Anyone have thoughts on this subject?

Like stated, I think unless your are in clear water, it makes no difference. The Hi Vis line is for the fisherman.
Seems to be a consensus. Crappie don't care about the color of fishing line in stained water? But color makes a difference when it comes to the bite. Right? I'm some what confused !!!!
The hi vis line, is for you to see the "light bites" or if you're a line watcher. If you have multiple rods out, bright line will catch your eye on a strike. I never use it, but a lot of crappie guys do.
I use hi vis all the time when trolling. If the water is really clear I tie a barrel swivel to the hi vis and attach flourocabon to it.
I think that there are a lot of variables that will affect fishing way before the color of line becomes an issue....
