    Question Central WI Ice Fishing

So, been thinking real hard about sneaking out a day or two to central wisconsin for some ice fishing. Having never done it before, any critical suggestions? Is it terrible to think I can go at this alone (assuming there's crowds of others around should something crazy happen on 8-10" of ice so the local bait shop says).

Here's a link that may help.

Lake-Link.com - Fishing and lake information for Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, North Dakota & South Dakota

Choose the state your interested in. Then you can either search input the name of the lake in the search area or scroll thru a list of lakes. Spend some time with it to find what you want. I check it every day to keep up with what is going on at a lake I go to twice a year. Good luck, catch some fish, be safe.

Thanks for link, been reading up on that and other chat site the last couple weeks. It is a bit tough to sort through, but like you say - lots of info out there. Ended up staying here in S In. Tried ohio river fishing for sauger - no dice but they were flowing quite a bit of water still and couldn't entice a bite. Ventured over to try deamlake and caught one of those ugly green fish. It was good to get out anyways. Going to go up north in a couple weeks with a few of my fishing buddies and see what its all about. I heard about flu season being bad this year, but didn't realize I'd could get cabin fever this bad or so soon....ug. Cabelas (lackluster selection to me) and Bass Pro also offered some soothing to what ails me....Will report back later. Maybe I'll have an auger for sale by then....ha

You wouldn't have to go so far if you didn't want. Northern Indiana has some great ice fishing. PM me if your interested and I can direct you towards some ice.
