I notice that these posts get 500 to 1000 a thousand views, but only a few replies. A couple years ago this forum was very active and interactive. What has changed? Are most of you lurkers just looking for information on locations? Its really a shame to see this board so dead because I know Indiana has some great fishing and that people are getting out on the water.

The only place I fish is on a private lake. The lake is crystal clear and very deep (100+ fow). I post on occasion but most of my posts are questions. I do share info when I can if I think it will help somebody out. I do not post just to post.

Have not seen anything from jpayton and HHD in a coons age though.

Have written a lot of comical stories about our adventures at Cataract lake this past summer. Lots of views maybe 2 replies if one is lucky. Some people do not know how to play in the sand box.

I come on here to learn. Since I usually don't have much to report, I don't add any posts. I also read posts from other states just to see what's going on out of
curiousity. I don't really have anything to add to those threads either. I am not hiding any secret spots. Just trying to learn. I suppose many "lurkers" on here are like me.

My first guess would be that some folks have felt like they've been burned by other fisherman showing up in their favorite spots. There is no doubt that it has happened, but how much this forum caused is impossible to figure.

My second guess, and also my reasoning, is the formation of the Indiana Slab Masters. Guys that, in the past, gave reports quite often are infected with the competition bug. Giving reports would be tipping your hand, so to speak.

I moved to GA, but I still look at the IN board once in a while to see how everyone is doing!! So, I am part of the problem, but my wife tells me that all the time!! LOL!! Stay warm fellers!!
