Well a early winter means more ice fishing! Normaly I love to fish during deer season, everyone who isn't hunting is rakeing leaves and burning them and it is great out, no bugs

Musky Gary has his head on his shoulders!! I can't wait to walk on the hard water... if we get one more year like last year I'm going to google for my own obituary... because I've clearly died and went to heaven!! I'll be closely watching the lady bugs, their prediction is never wrong! I can't remember a better summer than what we're having this year, weather wise.

Persimmons are already falling off trees green and purple (rotten) in color. Lots...and I think its caused by the coldest July in Indiana weather history but not really sure as to exactly what the cause is of them falling right an left. Looks like to me, we aren't going to have any persimmons by the time they are supposed to be ripened as there won't be any left on the trees.

2 more diff. farmers walked in to where the wife works complaining about early fall this week. Things not being right and happening early, and also mentioning about Jan. going to be colder than heck. Squirrels making nests and cutting small tree limbs of leaves around the house,,way to early for them to making nests, and they have been cutting on hickory for the past 3 weeks also. Lost half of my hummingbirds on the feeders,,as some are heading south,,that never happens till Sept. Garden is turning and just about done this week,,not because of a early plant as I didn't put anything in the the ground till May 1st,,but its overwith too early. My sunflowers have lost their seeds already and shouldn't have This week I noticed the sycamore trees, ash, and locust trees are now turning and loosing lots of leaves,,way too early for those trees to loose leaves. I mentioned this to the wife, about the squirrels making their nests, and the named trees loosing their leaves and at work,,another guy walked in saying the same exact things I have been seeing so call it coincidence? And,,another farmer walked in last nite commenting that he wouldn't get a crop of persimmons this year off his 5 trees as they were all falling off way too early and there wouldn't be any. I have been seeing the bucks running together and its too early for that,,but they are around me in groups of 3 or more up to 5 in a group and haven't figured that out as that shouldn't happen before mid to late Sept. Squirrel season starts Aug. 15 and will be spending more time in the woods and watching what is going on with the wildlife but I live in a heavy woods and am already seeing a major change happening.
