Yes, I've fished it for 35 years. I drive 2 hours to get there.
What do you think of the area? How is the fishing? Would if be worth an hour and half drive to fish this area? Are there any hiking trails?

I've been known to drive 4 hours to fish it when the mood strikes. Lot of pits in that area, not just in the forest. Minnehaha is close, shakamak is close, and a few other areas.

I drive an hour. Love it. Not a lot of people. An a lot of pits to fish.
Used to fish that area, moved further south and now fish Sugar Ridge. Got to love strip pits.
Lots of pits to fish. Some have steep banks all around. Some have ramps for small boats on trailers. Kayaks and canoes work great. Check with Minnehaha office for maps. DNR employees can give you an idea of what fish are in what pit. A few pits have no fish because of water quality. Minnehah office is at Goose Pond Wildlife area.
Dirty Harry's Bait and Tackle near Dugger can give you an idea of what is biting and which pit.
If hiking know if hunting season and wear a lot of orange if turkey season or deer season.
