Curious ?

like most of you I use to target bass and cats. to be truthful the other bass fisherman pushed me out because of the manners or lack there of cat fishing on the white river just to much work productive but work. I can catch crappie 8 months a year without really trying too hard and short of the crazy ranger bass boats that like to blow by me a little to close I fish and relax. I like to catch gills but they seem to share the same cover as bass so they get passed by. fishing is suppose to be fun no stress and just relax.

I do find it interesting that crappie guys tend to complain about bass guys. Bass guys complain about crappie guys.

From my standpoint I find plenty of people fishing and just boating that crowd others to complain about any one group. Had some guys a few weeks ago crowd me, asked if they wanted to fish out of my boat. Those guys were bass fishing. Two weeks prior it was folks crappie fishing doing it.

I really think people just don't have common sense anymore.

I like to eat fried gills but have been chasing crappie more the past year.

I'm a shore fisherman, so crappie fishing is primarily a Spring and Fall deal for me...the rest of the time I primarily fish for bass, pike and walleyes; occasionally I go after the cohos, kings and browns, but only if the other areas I fish aren't producing. guess that puts me in the 50/50 class.

Crappie is king for me. I never target anything else....... Why would I? I catch plenty of gills, bass, perch, ect. all while after crappie

I agree, it's more a lack of consideration for other people fishing. I do have my share of problems with bass fishermen coming in full bore, making a half dozen cast and blasting out.

95% of my fishing is for crappie but right now it's time to hit the river with swim baits for smallmouth, walleye & sauger until ice up but also got to keep chasin specs.

I rarely keep fish, even though I like eating them. Probably crappie fish 10-15 trips a year, and often I toss in fishing for whites or bass on those trips.

That's pretty much me. I don't get to crappie fish as much as I'd like, but I usually manage to get a few good ones per year. I'd rather have a cooler full of wipers myself, but I love catching anything that swims.

Mostly Crappie for me Gills in the spring, haven had much trouble with Bass guys its the water skiers and tubers that blow me off the anchor when i am a long way from everything and they just HAVE to ski right by me...
