Brookville Directions
I'm going to have to drive in on Saturday morning and need help on directions.
I'll be coming from the north around Indy. Would it be better to take 70 to either Route 1 or 27.
The other option is to take Brookville/US52 to Connersville then 44.
My thoughts are 70 to 27 more interstate less 2 lane road and less chance of a wrong turn at 4:00 in the morning.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

In my opinion the better route from Indy is 74 and get off on 1 and go north. But if you go 74 and get off on 44 ( shelbyville), go thru connersville and rushville to 1 and south its just as good to drive and easy. Coming out 70 is a pain, at least I think so.

from columbus I hop over to 74 to 1 to 52 then on up. i tried coming thru rushville once and roads weren't marked great. route 1 down to 52 has a massive downhill grade - watch your speed from 74 down to 52 as ISP will probably be watching too. good luck to all.

I was on 70 recently east of Indy heading toward Ohio, and it was very rough. Just my .02

I would take 74 to 244 to 52 to Brookville, left on 1.........244 is the best way from Shelbyville.

How long of a drive is it going 244 vs going 44 to 1 then south to egypt hollow?

It's about an hours drive from 74 to Brookville. From there to Egypt hollow , I'd be guessing..

I usually go 44 to 1 then south, but I'm launching farther south now so I can bypass the idle area by the houseboats. I'll try 74-52-1 route next time.
