Heading to brookville Sunday to fish the lake for the first time ever. Plan on spider rigging! Is there any part of the lake that is better than the other and how is the water will this rain affect the lake much? I plan on putting in at Fairfield ramp! Thank I will let you guys know how I do just hope the three hour drive will be worth it!

Glad to see you posted this. I've never been to Brookville and was hoping someone would respond. I'm going to fish the tourney Saturday and won't get a chance to pre-fish so it'll be a crap shoot on where to go, just hoping I don't get totally skunked. Don't kid yourself it's not a friendly enviorment when it comes to sharing information about fishing locations. Good luck and I whis you success at the tourney.

I've not been lately, but it's a decent body of water that usually has plenty of clarity. The lake has come up a little over a foot in three days. The upper part of the lake will hold color for most of the year and may be a little more discolored now. The southern half of the should have better clarity. Upper reaches of some of the creeks may be a little darker. There's plenty of wood in almost every cove or creek arm.

I still can't find big fish, so you might want to forget everything you just read.

Indy... you probably would have had a better chance posting to the Ohio board to get info on Brookville conditions....

Not many guys on here fish Brookville like HHD mentioned hit up the Ohio board as there seems to be plenty of those guys who fish it all the time.

I hope you found some fish today...

Glenn and I will be there friday for the first time in two years so I hope we can put something together quickly....

the lake is gonna be muddy, but should at least be fishable muddy, not a chocolate shake by saturday. the upper end is obviously gonna be the worst, followed by templeton creek as far as clarity goes.
Dont be afraid of the dirty water, nearly all of the big whites ive caught here(over 14") have come from dirty to really muddy water. Its not a numbers game, but if you stick with it you can catch some really nice fish.
although some might not like the dirty water, what it does bring is the best plus for fishing this lake, rising water.

best of luck guys, we'll be up to our necks in docks and lily pads saturday across state lines.
