When the sun was out it was beautiful on the water. When it wasn't and that wind was blowing it was cold.

Wow...don't know about you fellas, but I had 67 deg air temps today, 40 deg water temps, and plenty of wind and white caps to boot.

Bad hair day....twisted up my 3 hairs on my head so bad, liked to never got them untangled.

Anyhow, the fish were biting early...but tough to fish later on. Sorry HT, I kept some to eat as I love cold water crappie. They were hammering my blue head , chartreuse body HHD jig. Had plenty of other offerings but boy did they like that one. Not sure why.

I think this inch and a half rain we are supposed to get tonight will muddy up the upper shallows of Monroe. Thats a good thing because with some sunshine next week, it should warm the water up.

Hope you all got out and enjoyed the day.... and WOHOO...for Hoosiers !!

Wind was a beast today, whitecaps, and cold coming off the 40 deg water. No fish in the creeks, so main lake fishing was the only option. Marked way more than we caught, but have enough for dinner. 66 deg. when I got in truck, sure didn't feel like it.

I look like I've got red gloves on and a red face mask. Some sort of sun/wind burn going on.

It's about to get it goin on.

I could tell that I haven't been in the sun for awhile.. Saturday the sun was only out strong for the first few hours then the wind and clouds moved in..
I thought when I got home my face was only wind burnt... Well here it is Thursday and my face has been peeling the past few days....
I used to have red hair so you all know what that means.... I burn real easy!

Looks like the sun block will be coming out this weekend! Oh wait the rain gear...Lol!

This is as typical Indiana March as one could imagine. It wouldn't surprise me to get frostbite, sunburn, windburn, and drenched on Saturday.

I'll take all of the above if it comes with 7 good fish.
