My wife really struggling to understand why i needed to ice fish so much. I finally told her i really couldnt explain it. I did get her to go once for a bit so she maybe could see what its all about.
I know most of you dream of the soft water. But there is just something about ice fishing that cant be put into words. This is what can happen when you give it a try.......

See what happens when i quit warming up the truck in the morning...the ice comes back. I thought I had the warm weather in the sack. So much for thinking. Now it will be an all out global warming project now to melt the ice and keep it gone. Truck warm ups effective from here to spring double in length. A sure fire method to put an end to all this talk of ice...
By the way, congratulations to all of you who had fun, caught some fish and made the best out of an adverse winter that really didn't deal you folks a good hand.
i for one am glad you quit warming your truck. gave me the time to ice a few more fish. lol
LOL. It was a difficult winter to say the least as far as the ice conditions went. But it was a heckuva lot better than last year!!!!!

forget the ice, except of course unless you're offering 3 fingers of gin. LOL
Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish might lurk.
