algae blooms? Heard they r warning people not to eat fish from out of local waters because of the extra high temps and low water levels.
Never seen anything like that before...and dont think I'd want to touch it either. Eew!!

some type of parasite, causing external growths on the fish...I saw something like that once before during a very hot summer when the water was low and algae was bad.

Doing several Google searches and looking over many pictures, it looks like lymphocystis virus.
St Joe River, which one? I know there is one that goes into Ft Wayne and one that is further North. Is it one of these?
