Thread: Think about this!

I'm a proud Independent, I don't belive in voting a straight ticket because you're bound to vote for idiots on one side or the other if you do that. A responsible person or voter in this case, will and should look at the respective candidate from all angles. View that candidates beliefs and opinions on hot button topics and make an educated opinion on that person. People that vote straight ticket are foolish.

The two party system is clearly broken and there's more to it than that. Many times they're so far apart on key issues that they can't find middle ground for the good of the country. I also tend to vote my pocket book too, if I'm making good money, chances are I'll re-elect the sitting President. I'm self-employeed, so I have a real good handle on how the economy is and how much disposable income is floating around. It's not much as of right now, these are clearly tough times. Obama won't get my vote, but I really haven't seen a Republican I like either...Trump should've stayed in the race.

LOL fellas!!!!!!!! I aint no newbie when it comes to this internet fishing gig. I have been around the block a time or two. Smoke, evidently, is very passionate about his side of the fence. And to a degree, I believe we all are. Sometimes our personal opinions get in the way of our vocal chords. C'est la vie! As one of the owners of a fishing website, I understand the fuzzy grey line that needs to be walked sometimes. Many a time, I have gotten up from the screen red faced and swearing. It didnt do me any good. I will always listen to other's opinions and perspectives now. But I will also voice my own.

I have no problem agreeing to disagree, I am just frustrated with the fact that this thread was even posted on the state fishing site and nothing has been done to remove it, because obviously as you can see, there isn't any discussion on here about fishing. And I agree with you rico, it is hard to sit here and read certain things and not get red faced and swearing, and not want to put that frustration into words. And no, I am not a "big time union guy", just a successful business owner who's loves to hunt and fish.

Just because someone thinks these emails are ignorant, pathetic and a waste of time doesn't make them a "Obama supportor". I don't care for the guy or either party, but find this type of thing sadly pathetic. Why do I have to be on a side of a fence ? I don't mean to offend but the level of ignorance here is overwhelming. Doh
