Be ready to be addicted. I love it and do it alot. I would suggest the AMS bowfishing reel. Its awesome
Any of you guys bowfish? Been interested in it for a couple years, and recently watched the KY Afeild show, and I think I may try to get into it. I have never been, and don't have any gear. Any advice would be great!

Always wondered what you did with the carp or whatever after boating the fish? Can you just cut them up for a free meal for the cats in the river?
I really been wanting to try it, I need an old bow!! Everybodies got one until you want one. You can buy an arrow kit and reel and spool for like 8o bucks
I still use one rod at a time!!
I usually go quite often, but just haven't been able ot get out this year yet. I restrict it to spot lights in the dark, usually more action. Lots of fun, and hellacious garden fertilizer.
I would like to get an old compound bow and put a reel on it and get some cheap arrows. I think you could really killem down there at Turtle Creek in sullivan county

Bow fishing is awsome nothing like an arrow hitting a 20 pounder and the water exploding. Last year when the cataract was up the carp were all over and i was crappie fishing. After we got our limit of crappie was filled. We shot the for over 8 hrs i dont know how many we killed ( i am sure we hit triple digits with ease) but i can say i wont happen again in this life time proably. I know one tiped the scales at over 35.
