2014 Open Tournament
We are excited about this years first high stakes open tournament being held out of Tanner's Creek in Lawrenceburg, IN in July. We have some great sponsors for this event including Hydroforce Marine, Fizards, CrappieZilla, Crazy Angler, Grizzly Jig Company, B'n'M Poles, Lake Fork, Stubby Steve's, and Crappie Pro. This should be a very exciting event with the format we came up with. Click on the link to view the flyer. Tell all your buddies! There is no membership required and there will be 3 ways to get a good check for this event!

Looks like a fun event. I wish they would get an artifical only tourney in the middle of the state. Would love to see a one pole event also.

Believe me there was much discussion about this tournament. With this being the first one the club is doing we will see how it goes then make changes for the 2015 open. I would expect to have a good turnout this year then try to improve on it for the following year. Come fish it and let us know your thoughts on how to make it better!

Never fished the river for crappie but always did very well in bass events there. Only bad thing is its a 3.5 hour trip for us. Thats a LONG drive back after getting your butt kicked. Not to mention 3 to 4 days of expences.
You get into the central IN area to northern, we will be there.

Brad, if you if you don't have anything going on next weekend, we are back at Geist. You'd still have to get a membership, but that's where we'll be. Damon is right, this was the most complex topic that we discussed in the off season. Having a $500 bonus for using artificial only will probably keep a lot of minners alive to fish another day. If you ever get back down there bass fishing, you better just take an extra day of pre-fishing to check out the crappie population. It really is a tremendous fishery.

Thank you, Jim and I have been discussing the geist event.
I do love fishing that pool though.
