Default Deer Season Changes for 2012

Crossbow allowed and Bow will run continuous without a break,,from Oct. 1- including first weekend of Jan.
Special Antlerless Deer Only firearms season from Dec 28 thru first Sun in Jan in counties with quotas of 4 or more.

Urban Deer Zones changed quite a bit. check DNR's website for all of that.

Deer License Bundle is offered for 65.00. This is good value as it is your buck tag and 2 antlerless permits. If you archery hunt and buy this, and don't use all of the tags, they carry over to gun season, then muzzleloading season and you don't have to buy those tags like you always had to before. Check out the new rules on that.

They increased the size of cartridge length in firearms season to 1.8 which allows new sized weapons being used.

Hunter orange patch of 144 inches will have to be displayed on blinds in any direction.

Good luck for 2012 as this is just a summary of the more important rules changes.

Those are some good changes. Looks like our DNR is listening to the hunters.
