LakeShelbyville Guide posted this week that he thought the fish in the north end was about thru spawning--so I would think by then they all would be thru

the lake level is supposed to crest this tuesday at 616.5 according to the corps. so you will be fishing the parking lots because of the water level. I hope it doesnt get that high, but they are only letting out 500 cubic feet per sec. or a little over that. As the inflow into the lake yesterday was 8,740 cubic feet per sec so it doesnt look good. Steve might be able to back that up but i am pretty sure that is what the automated recording said.

    Default Correction lake cresting

The above post that Shelbyville will be cresting Tuesday was incorrect (typo I suspect) As of this morning (5/16) lake will be cresting 5/21 at 613.5. Assuming we get no more heavy rains. The high water ramps at both of the state parks are open and I assume they are open at the C.O.E. ramps as well.

You can follow lake levels according to C.O.E. at either of these sites

    RIVER AND RESERVOIR REPORT

Rivergages.com - SHEF Data ForKaskaskia River at Lake Shelbyville, IL (Pool)

Top site is take at 6 AM each morning the bottom site readings are hourly.

No it wasnt a typo that info came from 774-2020 which is the number for the corps. That was the message they had on there this past thursday. That was the numbers they gave if we didnt get anymore rain and the rain came again friday so i am sure they changed their message and changed the outflow. All i know is that there is a lot of water in shelbyville.
