I fished this morning for about 3 hours and caught six fish. However, five of them were keepers ranging from 10.25 to 12 inches. I caught them on a tri-color jig - red head, white body, and chartreuse tail. Also used crappie nibbles. I was surprised to find the Bo Woods cleaning station still open for cleaning fish. I figured they would have the water turned off by now.

it seems that 5 keepers is common for our spot,huh ken.although i caught a few more yesterday than i did saturday at that 1 spot.it'll get better

Kevin are you claiming responsibility for this nasty weather....LOL. I was supposed to go fishing tomorrow with friend from Mattoon. Unless things change from wht is forecast for the rest of the week I'm going to be staying close to the furnace.

I fished Lake Shelbyville for around three hours. Caught around a dozen crappie with five keepers running from 11.0 to 12.25 inches. The biggest one went one pound. Caught them around 6 to 7 feet deep. Tipped my jigs with waxworms.
