Shelbyville is slow, as of last weekend. I don't know many guys on here that fish Mill creek but the word was they were catching a lot of nice fish there after the ice off. The price to fish their seems high.
Just got the boat out, gassed up and the batteries charging. Has anyone got anything good to say about Shelbyville, Charleston:confused or Mill Creek?

If you are asking about Lake Charleston in Charleston IL, then I fish it quite a bit.
It is a nice little lake but not much in the way of catching BIG crappie. I have caught some nice ones but most are about 7 inches or less. This time of year, i tend to catch some nice ones. I fish it because you can always catch some fish and I prefer crappie to bluegill for eating. Its a small city lake so it should be warmer than shelbyville and the bite usually is a little earlier.
Two weeks ago, I fished shelbyville on saturday and then Charleston on sunday. I only caught about 5 crappie on Shelbyville and about 50 on lake Charleston. The difference was those 5 crappie on Shelbyville were a lot bigger, the biggest was about 13+ and the smallest was just at 10 inches. All 50 from Lake Charleston were smaller than 10 inches, actually probably all less than 9inches. Of those 50, i still only took home 5 of the "biggest" ones.
Hope this helps.
