The levee broke at one of the best kept crappie secrets in Illinois this morning. Carthage Lake, a backwater hole just north of my bosses place on the Mississippi was flooded today. Over the past 7 years I have seen buckets of 14+ inch fish come out of this area. I even took my brother Lhumphre over there for some action last fall but all we caught were 13's. :D Does anyone know what will happen to all the crappie in these backwaters with the current being so rough? Will they completely move out?

P.S. My bosses cabin had 2 inches in it at 12pm. He thinks by tomorrow night it will be relocated, somewhere around Grafton. Oh well, at least I won't have to do much at work tomorrow because he will be up in a plane surveying his property damage.
