We are holding a raffle to raise funds for two local families facing hard times. The raffle includes hunting items to include goose decoys, goose calls, and several other items. For more information please visit NWO Waterfowl Co.

Bennett Spangler is a baby due to be born in December of 2022. He has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He will have a series of 3 surgeries within the first few years of his life unless other complications arise and he requires a heart transplant. The first surgery will be within the first couple days of his life as long as he is strong enough and stable for it. The first surgery is called the Norwood and happens within the first few days. The second surgery is called the Glenn and usually happens around 4-6 months of age. The 3rd surgery is called the Fontan and happens around age 2.

Money raised will assist the family with related expenses and allow them to take time away from work to be with Bennett during the tough times ahead.

Lakian Lehenbauer was diagnosed with a brain tumor on April 5, 2021. She underwent an emergency surgery to remove the tumor after suffering from cardiac arrest and a subsequent surgery days later to remove the rest. Lakian underwent radiation and chemotherapy at Cancer Treatment Centers of America north of Chicago until March, 2022 when she had a recurrence of the tumor. She had another surgery to remove the regrowth and was able to get in a study through Washington University in St. Louis. While she had all of the genetic markers to battle and win much more time with us, God has other plans. We trust in His wisdom and love and know that Lakian is headed to a much better place where she will be whole once again. She has felt the love and support, and it is what has helped her fight so hard these past 16 months. Lakian has a wall-hanging in her room that says, "God is still good." As we continue to help her on her journey to her true home and to her true father, please know she believes that with all of her heart.

Sadly Lakian passed away September 15, 2022. Money raised will go directly to the Lehenbauer family.
