    Default Clinton today


    What a depressing trip. 2 of us fished 7 hours. A total of 3 crappie. Our ramp's parking was 2/3 full and everybody claimed similar results. A school of white bass was even ignoring offers. My first trip out for the year and I was looking to start the year off right. No dice.

    After running into the dock and busting my livescope transducer bracket very first thing I fished for about 3 hrs and ended up keeping 6 crappie. I was using a chartruse lure 3 ft down with a slip bobber in the standing timber. Where did you run into the school of whites?

    They were in the mouth of the first cove west of De Witte bridge. Sorry to hear about your equipment trouble. My tm broke in the first 15 minutes.

    Wishing I was fishing. I'm still a couple weeks out. Next couple weekends I travel for work. Then I should be able to get on the water.

    Not power poles, power pole is supposedly coming out with a trolling motor.
