Work the north shore bank just east of where you put in towards the bridge, Y cove which is across the lake from the Marina, Work along south shore inside of Houseboat cove , and you can try Route 10 cove lots of timber in there to. Good luck
Saturday I will be fishing Clinton and restricted to a 2 mile run either direction from Mascoutin ramp. I have not been there in many years so I'm looking for a place to give a try to start knowing the lake again. Not looking for your secret spots. Just get me started. Points, coves, channel...just rough ideas for this time of year.

That trip went somewhat less than well. Crappie were very scattered and moving back and forth from 2 fow to 12 fow. Not very hungry either. In 5 hours we caught exactly 1 10.5 incher. Nobody we talked to had fish. The locals blamed the water rising 2 foot then dropping again . Oh ya... I also spent an hour just dead sticking while pulling the carb and rebuilding it just to get back to the ramp. A fun time was had by all.
