I have the zebco reels from Walmart and like them for jigging or slide rigging Also the b n m fly reels are nice they are small. Mr crappie has a larger fly reel I’ve used the mr crappie a lot and worked good for spider rigging
the b n m is light and helps balance smaller rods. The b n m had the bearing backwards and I had to reverse it so reel would click as line is pulled out
the fly reels are easier to put line on
also cheap bait casters work. I hang them upside down I’m rod holder so rod acts like spinning rod to detect bites
I have used trigger spins for years but the quality seems to just keep fading. I have switched to spinning reels and mini bait casters that I use trolling or spider rigging.
