    Default Boat Storage

    Hey guys,
Maybe some of you can help me with some tips to storing an aluminum boat outside. I bought a bigger boat that will not fit in my garage and I’m going to have to store it covered at a storage facility. Any tips for keeping away mold and mice?

I put dryer sheets in my boat over the winter, they seem to work best

Not a fan of moth balls, as I mentioned I use dryer sheets in my boat and I also have a cabin on a nearby lake. I use to use moth balls every winter but now I use the dryer sheets. Much better than moth balls and work just as well. Where I just retired from we had 7 to 8 trucks that sit all winter, put dryer sheets in each of them and did not have any issues in 8 winters.

Put a light in the boat. Lack of darkness has helped in my boat and motorcycle storage. Mice thrive in the dark under a tarp/cover.

There's a guy that does YouTube videos all about catching, repelling rats and mice. He has one on peppermint on cotton balls, it is the only thing he has found to work the best.
