I woud assume the DNR has decided that for the health of the fisheries two pole limit is needed.
I have a large book that lists all the lakes that are north of Shelbyville. It also lists site regulations. I could not find any that allow more than 2 poles. What do you suppose the reasoning is behind that? Not a huge deal to me but it just got me to thinking about it. Seems like this state is always in a different country than the rest of them.

Went to fish with my son-in-law in Minnesota and they have a one pole per angler limit.
