Default Fish finder at bow and console

I am fairly new to fishing with electronics. I recently purchased a Humminbird Helix 7. I have not yet installed. I would love to have the option to use the unit at the bow and the console. Is there a way to have wires at each location using the one transducer?? I have seen the Y wires but cannot understand if those solve that problem. Thank you for any possible assistance.

Using one transducer will always put you the length of your boat from the image you are viewing.

Much better if ya buy another transducer and mount for trolling motor and Hbird power cable and cable collector and Ram mount with additional ball base, then ya can move em back n forth easier . But...You'll soon grow tired of doin that and buy another unit anyhow when they go on sale this fall.
