Rob, the one thing you want to consider is the fact that the big 4 are flood control lakes. I have been caught by high water 2 different times there. If you have non-refundable reservations you can be out of luck. I saw Grenada rise 5 feet in one 24 hr period the first time down and then about 8 more feet during the next week. It really made it hard. Last year, and those of you down there correct me about the amount, I think Enid was 23 feet over curve. That creates a bunch of new water to search. You may want to check how stable Euffala is. It may make a difference. That being said I still take a chance on the big 4.

Thanks so much for all the great information and knowkedge sharing. There are some great fisherman and people on this board and I value their input. However, I went against the grain on this one. After doing doing research on both lakes and much info from you, I have switched my trip to May and went with Eufala. The weather in March is just unpredictable and with Grenada being so open, it just wasn't the best fit for us. Since well be fishing post spawn in May, I think Eufala will produce the numbers we're looking for. If it doesn't work out, I'll have to eat crow and put Mississippi on the schedule for next year. After the trip, I will follow up on this post and share the expierience....good or bad. Thanks again for taking your time to comment. Top notch people, comments and it is appreciared.

As promised, I am following up. Fished Lake Eufuala with Todd Huckabee last Tuesday, Wed and Thursday. Water was over 5 foot above normal due to all the rain and we fished post spawn fish about 6 to 10' FOW. Absolutely the best 3 days of fishing I have ever experienced. We two polled Redneck rubber Beaver bottoms the entire time. Here are the results from day 2 which was our best day.
I'll get down to Mississippi one of these days but really happy with our trip to Oklahoma this time.
