    Default Wading rend lake

I plan on headin to rend next time I get a day off work and try to fish out of my waders. Anybody try wading rend? I知 gonna give it a try but I知 kinda curious what the bottoms like or if it値l be more trouble than it痴 worth.

I've waded in the past its fun but more difficult. I used a jig and a 9 foot pole. My preference from the boat is a 12 foot rod with cork and minnow. The bottom varies from muck to hard clay. Floating logs can be troublesome.

Yes, shorter rod is easier to handle when fishing at water level IMO. Trout net can be handy as well. Watch out for the buckbrush it can be nasty and cut you or waders up. I use shorts and old tennis shoes.

Caught a bunch of little ones in the bushes in about thigh deep water. 4 keepers but two were released prematurely on their way to the basket
