I saw ice on the Illinois River yesterday while the misses and I were eating lunch at Stake n Shake in East Peoria. Yes, we went out for lunch on Christmas day. After all, she did buy me a gun and fishing gear for Christmas. I thought she deserved a break.

I hate ice and wouldn't care if I ever saw it again. The crappie bite was pretty darn good up till end of last week and would continue if the lake didn't ice over. Off to Florida till February and start fishing Sangchris if Shelby and Decatur are frozen when I get back. I hope those that like to ice fish enjoy themselves but you won't see me.
