    Default Clinton lake ice status

I was curious if anyone had idea on what the ice status was on Clinton lake? I didn’t want to make the trip all the way up there to find out it was locked up. I was planning on boat fishing....any reports would be greatly appreciated

Not always, most of the time there is lots of very useful help here. Sorry your not getting any responses. People on here must not be fishing Clinton right now.
Lets go soak a line. Pat

Just talked to a friend who drove over there to check it out. You could put a boat in at Mascoutin but not use the frozen up docks. Clear water to half way to houseboat cove going west and the bridge going east
A person should learn something new every day!

Went out today 01-11-18 got late start hit water at 11. Water at camp ground ramp was 47. Bridge area was 57. Towards houseboat cove was 43. Inside cove was ice. To the west also or at the y cove. Got a few crappie at bridge and some stripper. On crappie at ramp area. Al plastic baits. Hit a big ice chunk at house boat. One other fish boat out and two carp or research boats out. Stayed 3-5 hours. The wind at bridge was terrible. Waves not as bad as last outings could not position boats many shore anglers on east side
