Thread: No boat, bank fishing...

Have the next three days off and am wanting to take the camper somewhere and do some fishing. I have no boat and have to bank fish. Any suggestions? Anyone have a spot free on their boat Thu or Fri(willing to fill boat with gas)? I am located outside marine, IL. Not wanting to go more than a couple hours away. Any suggestions are welcome. thanks in advance! Was looking at Rend, but don’t know if the sailboat harbor is holding fish yet. Saw a facebook post that they put a bunch of new structure there with a Boyscout Project. Was told crab orchard had some good spots for bank fishing as well. Am only familiar with lakes around here Lake Lou Yeager, Silver lake, and a couple other small ones.

Ramsey Lake is a nice little lake for that. Lots of crappie and bluegill. Go gillin and catfishing at Pine Bend campground, hit the crappie at the boat docks or near the dam.
