    Default how to pre- fish?


    how do you find potential spots and not ruin the fish in that area? Do you clip off hook or try and shake fish off? Just tryin to up my game for tourneys.

    Catch one big fish and move on. In most cases their will be more than one big fish there. Just mark it and move on. Try to replicate places where you caught that one..

    I'd just watch for any follows, then reel in. Try NOT to let the fish hit! A oood memory or a notebook helps!

    I'll tell you Saturday after the 3pm weigh-in.

    Biggest thing is covering water to find fish. Put together a pattern and fish similar areas. I rarely drop a line while pre-fishing. What bites today may not ten minutes from now, let alone the next day.

    This answer was supposed to go to a muskie site, where a guy had asked the same question. It probably wouldn't apply to crappies.
