Been hearing a lot of different things about the lake lately. Yes we all know about the rain and the high water. Are any of you guys still trying to get up in the new flooded brush and seeking cleaner water around the south end or is the whole lake trashed and the fish are shut down?? Thanks guys

I was also wondering what the water clarity was like on the south end. I'm sure the north end looks like chocolate milk.

From Findlay bridge to the dam the water is fine. From wolf to the dam the water is actually pretty clear. Foggy looking but can still see 6-8" down. Maybe some people are encountering debris but chickenguy and I ran that lake from Findlay to the dam and didn't see one floating thing on the main lake. There is a ton of new flooded vegetation and there is fish in it. Go to any cove and just move quick with Minnows 1-3 ft once you catch one stop and fish the area and take note what was holding the fish. Really not that hard to form a pattern right now. Kinda frustrating that a big tournament was cancelled for this weekend because of "hazardous conditions" and the lake being "shut down" when neither of which couldn't be more false. Warm temperatures this week should set them on fire. Good luck

Couldn't agree more with Birdman about catching fish. Everyone is saying they are having a problem catching fish and the lake really isn't that murky from Eagle/Wolf area to the Dam. Most of the fish are still in spawn mode and just pic a cove and start fishing swallow. Forget what you were fishing 2 weeks ago on. These crappie are in less than 3 ft of water. Catching the big ones may be a chore but I caught over 200 fish in just a couple coves vertical jigging weeds and brush on the banks I can imagine the fun that would of been had sitting back with some minnows. Very fun weekend.

Closest place to the dam is the Spillway Motel
Lets go soak a line. Pat

Well you guys might of changed my mind about going over there Friday, was going to go to my local lake. Couldn't buy a bite there yesterday. Water there was much darker than the richest chocolate milk you can find.

Sunday if you headed south you had to watch for debris also! Lots of floating logs, trees, etc. Congrats on your 3rd place in the CICC Tournament. Brushpile jigs:-)
