I know it's illegal to sell deer meat and other types of animals that you hunt in Illinois. So I could only guess that it's also illegal to sell fish that you catch. But you can give away as much as you like, just can't sell any.
I'm often asked "can out of state fishermen come to Ms and catch fish, take them back and sell them". My response has always been....well I don't know for sure but I think it illegal. So my question is, is it legal to sell crappie in the state of Illinois? If so, is it legal to transport fish across state lines and sell in Illinois? I'm not trying to stir anything up but just looking for an honest answer. Thanks

I know of a couple stores that sell Bluegill BUT its all imported from Canada, Indian fishing tribes that have a license to net & sell fish....I agree with Kenny

You can do whatever you like but a forum is the last place I would look for info for an act that could land me in court.
Crappie cannot be taken by a commercial license holder, so that is out.
No. You can't sell Sportfish in Illinois.
