Default strip pit crappie in the heat report*

Well I got the chance to fish a semi-private N. Illinois strip pit Tuesday and our main goal was for lunker bass, but I wondered what the crappie were like in this lake and ran into a few. The weather was hot, but the Bass and crappie were still hitting a green pumpkin grub in the morning and evening.

Nope. Not a club lake, just one that a few folks own together and occasionally grant permissions to fish. near Monterey.
