Looks like a interesting lake about a 41/2 hr drive from where I live anybody ever fish it for crappie web says it is a great bluegill lake but crappie are included in the stocking?
Might try the Iowa board.
A person should learn something new every day!
Never much said on Iowa board. 1 or 2 guys few times a year.
dj, fished it a few years ago....quit going there. Its a watershed lake....2 upper lakes feed Sugema. !st year there did fair on crappies...avg 9-10"....It's a flooded timber...be ready to get stuck on stumps that you don't see....2nd year there weather wasn't very cooperative....no crappies and few bluegills...had better luck in one of the upper lakes...3rd year there same as second....Said the hell with it and stay in Illinois now....If you do go and fish it theres a little town about 7 miles south call Mt. Sterling....Besides the few homes there, there is a little watering hole called AJ's ...food is outstanding....It's worth the drive just to go there and eat....Good people and real pleasant....Just don't get caught out back in the trailer with AJ...
Take your kids hunting so you don't have to hunt for your kids.

Not sure what Tom is talking about. We always did good at the lake. May have lost an anchor or two.
