Thread: What is your goal this year as far as Crappie

To catch one like this one for the wall.

This will be the first summer both my wife and I are retired. So our goal is just to spend a LOT more time in the boat fishing for crappie. If we happen to catch more that will be a nice bonus.

Would love to catch a 2lb crappie. Never caught one that big

My goal is simple. More time on the water. The past two years have been brutal and except for two spring weekends when I've entertained cousins to fish for a couple of days the boat has sat in the garage. I've set a goal to have the boat on the water at least once a week starting mid-March. If I do that I know I'll find fish and fry fish. Time on the water = more fish caught simply by being in tune with everchanging conditions.

To catch more of these IL 2 1/2 pound slabs.
