Going to Kinkaid.next weekend anybody got any pointers on where to start. We are staying at the marina cabins we went early this spring but weather went from bad to worse and lake looked like chocolate milk so we are going to try it one more time

fish the grass beds on secondary and main lake points and even main lake bank.Their will be deeper fish around brush and timber if you prefer to fish that way,but don't spend long trying if you don't get bit. They are gonna bite sometime during the day almost for sure.If your lucky it will last a good while. You can fish minnows and bobber around the weed edges if you like that.But you will probably catch more with a jig and nibble casting to the grass edges and swimming the jig over submerged grass.They are there to feed on shad fry and if your jig resembles one of them you will get bit. They hang out down in the grass and come up at bait passing over them. Or you might catch a school of crappie pushing shad up to the weed edge and smacking them.You might catch a big one......they are there and not to uncommon
