thanks crappie.com for a great event. the food was awesome, prizes were awesome, and the camaraderie. I'll definitely set aside time next spring for the camp.but next year I'll make sure to bring the wife and kids to this great event.I also wanted to give a special thanks to TomTom who did a great job in making everybody feel welcome and he had seemed to have a very upbeat attitude that made it fun.

I would like to thank everyone that helped at camp, Kevin for cooking the fish, BillBob and Slab for signing people in, TomTom for selling raffle tickets, Sharon and Dee for setting up the raffles, and Bowhunter for everything that he did which was a lot,the main thing was getting the awesome music. Wayne for taking care of Friday and Pesce for cooking on Friday. I hope and didn't mean to leave anyone out that helped. Its a big job to get a camp put together and it isn't a 2 or 3 person job at least once camp gets started.

We are already making plans for next year camp will be May 13th-15th the weekend after Mothers Day. We lucked out on the weather this year but we are looking to move the Saturday night get together to another location that has a bigger shelter, parking, a bathroom on site. We will keep the Friday meet and greet in the same place as now as it isn't as big as gathering.

I'm going to talk to the lodge at coon creek and see when their closing date is for it and try and plan the fall get together before they close so that we will have plenty of rooms available. I should have more info on that next week.

Thanks everyone for coming and I hope we have many more to come .

Everyone that was involved planning and producing this event should be really proud! I haven't been to any of the other states camps but I think it would be hard to beat Illinois. My only beef is that I must have gained 10 pounds from all of the good food both nights. Bowhunter, were you the one that brought the sweet pepper cheese Fri night? I need that recipe cause I hurt myself on that one!!
