Well look us up at roys maybe we can fry fish or something. Ice fishing on rend don't see many people doing it unless it's around the docks
Drilled 30 holes thru 5 inches over/around the USACE brush in JB yesterday from 9am-2pm. No bites on either plastic or waxies. There was open water under the west bridge on the 154 causeway when I left via Sesser at 2:30. Suspect the east bridge might have been open too, but don't know for sure about it or the Gun Creek bridge.
It was a 5 inches of good ice everywhere I drilled...including right off the JB ramp.
how often does rend ice up?
Sounds like you guys are pretty knowledgeable of Rend Lake.Pretty much just throwing this out there of anyone is ever looking for a fishing partner look me up on here. I have always wanted to fish Rend but it has always intimidated me just alittle not knowing it at all and not really having a boat up for the task. Just let me know if anyone is interested I am more than willing to help out on gas costs or anything else that might come up.
Looking to make a trip to Rend this weekend....What is the bite like right now...Any tips would be appreciated..
