From what I read ranger will still be the same excluding angler sponsorship. What will be interesting is what will it mean for cabelas. Seems as though everything will funnel through bps from now on. They made a big move. Only time will tell
Any thoughts and opinions on the buy out of Ranger, Stratos, and Triton by Tracker Marine.

Hmmmm, don't know. Will have to wait and see.
Lets go soak a line. Pat
Only time will tell but, to say I'm excited about it. Well, simply would not be True.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
Nothing is rarely the same after a buy out. If Ranger follows the Tracker and Nitro brands I would say quality will go down. Also I expect Stratos maybe even Triton to eventually go bye, bye. Companies like BPS and Tracker Marine are all about increasing the bottom line not necessarily improving quality. I looked at several boats before I made my decision on what to buy and it was not a Nitro or a Tracker, not impressed with anything except price. LOL!! No offense meant. I am sure everyone has there own idea of what the best boats are and it is probably what they own.
As as far as the price of beer and cigarettes. I would just as soon spend my money on something relatively useful.

After the deal closes, Fishing Holdings will continue to operate independently under its existing management at its headquarters in Flippin, Ark., which is a two-hour drive from Bass Pro Shops’ headquarters in Springfield, Mo.
Dont sound like much difference to me in what they are going to do.
You can keep the Cigarettes wilbur, just a little Bud Light will do me.

When I decided on buying a glass boat I visited 2 plants (including Ranger) and dealers for 4 different brands of Glass boats. Honestly Ranger is what I thought I would end up with but after talking to two dealers and visiting the plant I was not that impressed. It will not get any better. I am sure of that. It is no longer the Ranger boat it once was. If I owned one of the older Rangers I would hang on to it.

I dont know what will happen, just know I wont ever own a new glass boat unless i win the lottery so it makes no difference to me. I dont know what you fish out of, but dont know what out there is better than a ranger,
My Significant other bought it for me because I lost 61#. I rode in and looked at a lot of Boats. I bought what I felt like was the Best boat not the cheapest. I am sure everyone thinks their boat is the best or they probably wouldn't have bought it. It really doesn't matter to me what you fish out of. I have met some of the nicest guys fishing out of little tin boats and some real A-holes fishing out of Rangers. That also works the other way around as well. The boat does not make the fisherman or even the man for that matter.
