On fri. caught limit in 2 hrs. Today fished same spots for 4 hrs. caught 1 keeper! What the hell?? Fish are full time fish; I'm a part time fisherman. I'll never win!

my buddy and i fished yesterday in the hoi tourney and kept 18 fish, weighed in our 7 best and took 2nd place. he went back today to the same spot we fished yesterday and caught 1 keeper and 1 short fish....no explanation for the way the fish are biting on that lake

Sam thing here but it was a small lake with no boats Friday. Several boats today in gin clear water with hardly a ripple on the water. Actually could see fish in 6-8 feet of water in weed edges. Even saw some swim over to my jig and take in the tail and spit it out and I did not feel anything. That is what cheap rods do when the bite is so light. We did finally get enough specks and gills for a mess.

Hey Rick, it took 4# 11 ounces to win that tournament, not sure exactly what 2nd place had. I think big fish was 14.9 oz.
