Kyle. Which do you think is the best crappie lake. Kincade or Rend?

Hey Mac, they are both very good! It would depend on what my goals were and the time of year. Rend is a terrific lake for numbers of quality fish in the 3/4 - 1 1/2lb range with a 2lb plus kicker occasionally. I'm mainly going to guide on Rend in the Spring and Fall but I switch back and forth all year. I'll guide on Kinkaid and Lake of Egypt mainly in the Summer and Winter. Seems to be the best overall pattern in Southern Illinois! Kinkaid and Egypt will kick out more 1 - 1 3/4lb fish with the occasional 3lber!! They're all great fisheries year round but they will each peak at different times of the year!! We're truly blessed to have the fishing we do in Southern Illinois!

Im not ready for spring yet. I still have a few winter tasks to finish up. If you would all pray for more snow I'd appreciate it.

There is always a down side to everything! That's why I kind of enjoy fishing the hot weather and dread the fall. Everybody shows up when the fall bite is on.

I enjoy the summer bite also as long as I get out before light and beat all the pleasure boater that like to zip around you and make it impossible to fish.
Lets go soak a line. Pat
