Sounds like you got my luck, just saying.
Fished Coffeen today from 11 to 4. I tried Shallow. I tried deep . Not A single bite. Hot ditch was 80 Degrees. I fished every visible laydown and nothing. Then i went shallow and beat the banks still nothing. I even switched colors 4x And still nothing. Very frustrating

Lets go soak a line. Pat
Yep! Somedays seem like everything I do is wrong.

hit the points on the main lake. They produced great for me tuesday. All my fish was caught about 4-5 foot deep in 6-10' of water.wht/chrt was also color they preferred.Everything i caught was areas i marked a couple weeks ago.The hot ditch is getting hit hard so i been focusing out on the main lake
Jay- stay with it and don't give up. It usually takes me at least a couple hours when I'm there to put together a strong pattern. Try to think like a fish and figure out what they should be doing at the water temps present. Look for shad. Look for spawning areas. Etc. you can e mail me if you need help
I fished there Wednesday as well. Caught a few just not many good ones. Threw back maybe 6 keepers before we left. Fished mainly main lake lay downs south of the launch. Started deep and worked our way in. Tried the hot arm for a few but it was a bit crowded for my comfort zone. I had never crappie fished there so I did about as good as I had expected. Used jigs any color with chartreuse. Sounds like my pattern attempt was about like others, just a slow day or I ain't got the touch (I'm guessing the latter of the two) may try it again before the other lakes heat up... But not on a weekend, Wednesday was plenty crowded for me.
I was there on Wednesday as well and the bite was slow for me. Fished the areas in the hot arm that have been good for me recently and only caught a couple specks plus a few catfish. Left the hot arm and the bite was better but still only ended up catching a half dozen. The bluegill and cats seemed to be hungry though. At least I wasn't at work and didn't have to deal with any of those nasty green carp.
