Let me be the first to welcome ya. Glad you did. Lots of teasing goes on but it all in fun. All in all everyone is more than helpful if you just ask.
Hello, I guess I will start by saying the coversation about giving fishing info spurred me to actually officially register. I have, for several years, checked in and enjoy the site thoroughly. Imho, it's not that I'm looking to be lazy or "steal" someone's hotspot, moreso to simply get an idea as to what the fish want at that particular moment. Like someone else said, fishing is just like hunting, it can be simply unbelievable fishing then the switch flips in a matter of a half hour. Point being, the info others give on the site can definitely be helpful, but it's such as small part of all things considered. With that said, I figured the right thing to do was to register!
I am also a teacher so my fishing is limited to weekends, well execpt if I'm sick (cough, cough!) Then, opens up pretty good in June-Aug. I live in Smithton, IL and when I get out, it's usually Rend or so local strip pit lakes in the area.
Again, having looked at the site for a few years now, it seems many of the members, especially who contribute regularly, do a really good job of giving/sharing info. I will try to share the best I can too.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
