Thread: Evergreen

Today the wind was out of the north at about twenty MPH. The other fishermen that I spoke with had one or two fish. We had two about 11 inches, both caught in the shallow on minnows. We were on the water for five hours.Tomorrow the wind is forecasted to be around 8MPH out of the north-northwest, with temps around 80. The sign at the entrance said something about a 5K run not sure of the times, call first.

No I didnt Chulai talked me out of it. I went to heideke and caught 3 then went to Mazonia and caught 2 and a 9in. gill. The crappies were nice 10 to 11.5, just not plentiful. I am havin a real bad year so far and its almost over. I cant seem to find them and I know they are there. Most the time I see em on the screen but cant get em to eat. Thinkin about takin up Golf

I am thinking seeing them on the screen is a good thing, I still aint figured that out. On the bright side at 250 miles round trip you saved 50 miles of gas per fish.

if were not going to catch many fish, it sure is nice to be able to do it closer to home.

Went to Mazonia [Eagle Lake] yesterday and got no crappie,one small gill,one small lg mouth bass and one 15 in lg mouth bass. All were released,hope to see them again in about 2 yrs.

Burgersb, You must live close to me, that mileage is very close, we should be within 5 miles. Im in Chicago Heights, right by Prairie State college
