Default Bass Tracker Panfish Boat 16ft Sticksteer

I have 16ft panfish tracker boat sticksteer....Me and my buddy JWM are going to pretty much gut the whole boat out...We plan to replace the wood in the floor....Plus, lay some sort of rubber/tar over the wood.....I can't think of the exact name of the stuff...Plus, we are going to replace all the wood sides and recarpet it....Also, going to build a storage box in the middle of the boat.....Plus a section for a cooler....I am also going to add some lead weight to the front half of the boat...{Under the floor}....This will hopefully help my boat from moving so much when it is windy out on the water...My boat is really light...I can take it off the truck hitch and carry it around....So, definetly needs more weight

I am going to purchase all the wood and carpet this Saturday....We may get started on ripping the floors out Saturday......

I will take a picture of the boat Saturday and post it here....Plus, will post an after picture..

If you use some 3/4 inch marine plywood for the floor and sides, you might not need anymore weight, plus it will quieten the boat some as well as stiffen it.
Good luck, post some picutes as you go along.

    Hi SeaRay,

We already have 3/4in treated wood in the floor...But, one piece was damaged from acid out of a battery...So, we will replace that piece.....We plan to replace the sides with 3/4in treated wood....I still think I will need more weight....My boat is not heavy at all.....I plan add weight in the front half of the boat...

Thanks for all the information guys..

We was able to install the new floor in today and got the storage box nearly done....We probably have two to three more days of work to go....Still need to finish storage box, install carpet on side and on rails...Plus, we are installing all new wire...Also, still need to tuff coat on the floor..

Me and JWM are getting pretty close to finishing the panfish tracker boat.....I will try to have DKB post pictures.....Tomorrow night we are going to lay the primer/hardrner down on the floor.....Probably Thursday or Friday we will apply tuff coat non skid coating....After that will just have some carpet to apply to the sides/storage box....Plus, just re install the necassry items in the boat...Fire ext etc......If everything goes smooth?...Should have the boat done this weekend....Hoping to try it Sunday or Monday....

With the double 3/4 plywood floor, plus storage box...The boat weighs a lot more.....Also, we put the tm battery in the front compartment...That was designed for a cooler....
