Default Hitting Rend in the next few days .... need some advice/help.

I'm curious .... are the crappies up close to shore all around the lake or are they in certain areas of the lake more than others? For example ... north end, south end, east or west .... certain coves or creeks, etc. I have not been having the best of luck. Also, are they still scattered as far as depths go or are they back into the brush or 1-3 fow?

    Thanks!

Although there are alot of guys here that give great information, this is like asking someone to do all of the work for you so you can just go out and catch fish. To be truthful, if you fish there it will be pretty obvious where the fish are being caught...just look around.

Your best bet is to hire a guide. More than once during a season, not to learn his spots but to learn the habits of the fish that time of year.

I hired a guide once on Rend, now I apply the same tactics everywhere on the lake, and other lakes.
It's still a challenge on some days, but by the end of the day and bag of tricks that I have learned I have fish.

What else do you want? Buck brush...jigs and minnows...that should cover everything. There is noway you have spent much time there and haven't figured something out to catch fish. Anything more than that goes beyond "general information", if you need more "general information" hire one of the great guides for Rend.

I hired a guide there earlier this year and we fished under a bridge all day. The only thing I learned was to not spend my money on that guide again.

And yes, that was a useless post. You don't know where I live or how far I have to travel. You don't know what I have for a boat, if any at all. You don't know how long I have lived in the area or know about the area. I'm just getting some general information to narrow things down.
