    Default Kinkaid 11/28/12

Thinking of giving it a try tomorrow. Any word on of the fish are biting? Going to pull some cranks I think.

Look for a little darker water where you can find it, and really hit the 2 - 4 foot range. There are some fish deep in the 20 - 30 area, but bite is slow out there. Had a good bunch yesterday afternoon shallow!

If the weather holds I'll be there around 12:00. I'm going to pull cranks in the no wake area I think

Well the weather held but the fish didn't cooperate. Either I was fishing in the wrong places or the fish just don't want crankbaits yet. I gave it a good seven hours trolled main lake points, main lake open water, and trolled the no wake. Nothing nada zilch. Saw a bunch of people trolling for muskies everyone I talk to wasn't having much luck! I wonder if they're still catching them on the banks? Fishfinder had great marks around 20 foot but still nothing! I'm not really into casting bobbers but maybe that is the ticket right now!

Hey, this thread is now old news, but I did want to give a big thanks to Kyle S. for taking us out. I'm the guy on the right in the picture. I left Little Rock, AR at 5:30 AM to meet Kyle mid-day on Kinkaid, and even though he encouraged us to go to Rend, we really wanted to go to Kinkaid. We lost about two hours time trying to coax big black crappie out of the deep, but once we found them shallow, we put 20 nice keepers in the boat. Not bad considering he hadn't been on Kinkaid in several weeks. The best part was even with us having a considerable amount of boat trouble the next day, my dad, uncle and I caught 18 keepers on our own. Thanks again Kyle!
