Thread: Even with the cool weather and rain the bite was still good today on Rend.

Crappie X, I was wondering what areas of the lake you were fishing if you don't mind saying? I am coming own to Rend this weekend with my daughter to let her try crappie fishing. We were at Reelfoot a few weeks ago and she did not catch a fish. So I am hoping to to put her on to some. I am hot looking for any honey holes just general areas. Thanks Ed.

Hey there CrappieX. Looks like your the big fisher on the block. Which also means that you are the one everyone asks the questions to.
I was out on Rend last weekend and planning on going this weekend also. I did most of my fishing on the southern points and caught a couple over by the marina. I heard a rumor that the crappie fishing was good above the impoundment damns and that there were some pretty good size one up there? I hunt up there for bow season, but didn't think since they drained it every year it would hold that good of fish. You ever tried it in there? I also didn't have any luck with live bait. Thought that to be a little odd. Thanks, Bobby
